NEW NEPALI MOVIE BAGMATI
The producers of the Nepali feature film Bagmati announced on Tuesday that the post-production of the movie is complete. On its completion, producers Dinesh Darshandhari and Bijay Satyal also released a few stills from the movie.The post-production of the movie was conducted in India.
The movie, claimed to be the most expensive movie ever made in Nepal, with more than Rs 20 million invested, was produced under the banner of Tree entertainment and is directed by Indian director Sunny.
While the production team is yet to come up with the release date, a series of charity shows of the movie is scheduled to be held in theatres across Nepal and India from October.
The movie features actors like Rajesh Hamal, Shiva Shrestha, Kanchan Thakuri, Keki Adhikari and Dhruba Koirala, among others, and explores issues of social malpractices. “In the movie, we have used Bagmati as a metaphor and depicted the social malpractices that are still prevalent in Nepal,” said producer Dinesh Darshandhari.
The movie, which will be released in Nepal and India at the same time, has been dubbed in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi and Marathi.
